Today was a nice one. Woke up this morning and had some coffee. Installed some old PC games on a Thinkpad X40. Old laptop, late 90s early 00s. Diablo 2, Chex Quest, you name it. One thing I installed that really is cool was the Sims (1). My wife is in love with it. She was a Sims master in her day. I love to see her engaging with old tech and having a feelings of nostalgia. I do that all the time. My son came back and we made some tacos for dinner. Super great day : ).

Today I experimented with running a C64 emulator in the browser. The result is surprisingly smooth. What's even more exciting is that it supports PRG and D64 images right from a URL or local disk.

I'm also working on this retro-styled terminal blog to match the old-school aesthetic of the emulator. Everything is self-contained and super minimal — just like the 80s.
